We focused on the question of how can a congregation embody stewardship as a foundation of mission, participating in the local community in service of God? We reflected upon stewardship as embodied worship and faith in action. Beyond the Offering Plate served as an outline for a sermon series, to help broaden our definition of stewardship and discover a deeper understanding of the meaning of “steward”. Church coffee hours helped us to learn more about our missional history, our spiritual gifts and how God is calling us to use them in the world in partnership with the communities’ gifts and needs."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC-EDU/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/downloads/3505fb04-e67b-4c33-8a50-8e0ddcff3166?file=thumbnail","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["admin_set/default-default-approving","admin_set/default-default-depositing","admin_set/default-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_ids_ssim":["3505fb04-e67b-4c33-8a50-8e0ddcff3166"],"file_set_ids_ssim":["3505fb04-e67b-4c33-8a50-8e0ddcff3166"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Default Admin Set"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["revntuala5@gmail.com"],"_version_":1829023998141267968,"timestamp":"2025-04-10T13:53:31.118Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-17T10:30:35Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T08:37:59Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"9186f77a-243d-4607-8c45-4d906f897335","accessControl_ssim":["a9efa4b9-6970-4b18-8e70-5307b712ce48"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Hope-oriented pastoral care and counseling: an application of colution-focused pastoral counseling theory"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-17T10:30:34Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T02:23:39Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["dcf483eb-64ff-4500-a784-b2f8b033efe6"],"hasLease_ssim":["9a5035a6-3ed7-4bbc-b823-29178cf97fa8"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Logos Evangelical Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Kuo-Liang Lin"],"year_tesim":["2011"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Ho Huang-Ju"],"keyword_tesim":["Promise (Theology)"],"publisher_tesim":["Logos Evangelical Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Moltmann, Jürgen","Christianity","Pastoral counseling","Eschatology"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["None"],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Logos Evangelical Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["54e7729a-4915-469f-8fd5-c7bb7ccd6c20"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791134618219446272,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:38:02.622Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T14:28:12Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T07:27:29Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"3983766d-5a4b-47d6-a4ff-9bd75b847f3e","accessControl_ssim":["4c23caf3-f330-42ac-ad73-1b2d584e2b13"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Selected expert perspectives on Ezekiel 38-39 related to current world events with resulting influence on ministry practices"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T14:28:11Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-16T23:48:01Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["d4cef031-5ac1-4c3c-8eeb-88f5b7cfeeac"],"hasLease_ssim":["ee7c92de-bece-4b5c-879c-316ab1d89660"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Dallas Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Mark L Hitchcock","Stephen J Bramer"],"year_tesim":["2012"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Stanley A Maughan"],"publisher_tesim":["Dallas Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Bible. Through these debates, primarily at its quadrennial gatherings, the church has clarified its theology and established its doctrinal standards. However, a disjunction has occurred within the church's theological anthropology. When speaking more generally about theology, the church relies upon one construction of theological anthropology. When speaking about human sexuality and homosexuality, the church relies upon a second, divergent theological anthropology. If it is the case that the church relies upon a second, divergent theological anthropology when speaking about homosexuality and homosexual practice, then its doctrine on homosexuality and homosexual practice is suspect and needs revision. To resolve this disjunction and provide this revision, the church must (1) identify the divergent theological anthropology currently used in its discussion of homosexuality and homosexual practice and (2) replace that divergent theological anthropology with an alternative, more doctrinally consistent theological anthropology. This more doctrinally consistent theological anthropology is the Eschaton Adam. The following thesis argues that this more doctrinally consistent theological anthropology offers the church a new avenue, potentially enabling the denomination to pursue theological precision and to gain greater denominational consensus on the contentious issues of homosexuality and homosexual practice. Out of this thesis, a project was created to test the theory that a disjunction was present and that substituting one theological anthropology for another would alter church doctrine, lay and clergy perceptions of that doctrine, and potentially supply the church with a viable way forward to resolve this persisting doctrinal problem of how adequately to address homosexuality and homosexual practice."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Miscellaneous"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["4f3e9d5f-fc19-4d44-a264-44b56604eb9a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791128273757929472,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T06:57:12.072Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T12:22:07Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T07:53:06Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"301ba12c-1c5e-465c-9211-cd650e8f8a9b","accessControl_ssim":["ed63d882-84f6-4a32-babf-944d9537989f"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Therefore I have hope: utilizing hope as a leadership emergence factor and catalyst to organizational responsiveness and innovation"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T12:22:05Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-16T23:31:59Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["3ff5e373-6398-437a-8972-d43d060b0511"],"hasLease_ssim":["b3cc152a-2c01-4257-a064-f3768ed28ad2"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Claremont School of Theology"],"advisor_tesim":["Stephen S Kim"],"year_tesim":["2008"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Raymond L Wheeler"],"publisher_tesim":["Claremont School of Theology"],"subject_tesim":["Leadership--Religious aspects--Christianity","Hope","Eschatology"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["Eschatological hope is a predictive causal factor in the emergence of new leaders that simultaneously shapes organizational culture to be favorably inclined to the emergence of new leaders. The course is presented and analyzed."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Miscellaneous"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["4f3e9d5f-fc19-4d44-a264-44b56604eb9a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791128247388340224,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T06:56:46.924Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T06:51:20Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T07:20:00Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"cf45ae51-37df-4e6c-885e-016d5bf4d33e","accessControl_ssim":["29772d49-aedc-4dec-b8a7-9a173e685169"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Campus ministry, conscience formation, and the quest for environmental justice: becoming the salt of the earth"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T06:51:19Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T04:04:16Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["cc47f323-812c-4771-9459-6c27bf2fc61e"],"hasLease_ssim":["646a0207-76dc-487f-875b-68a335dcb835"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["United Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Molly Longstreth","Jay B McDaniel"],"year_tesim":["1998"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Donald R McCrabb"],"keyword_tesim":["Campus ministry"],"publisher_tesim":["United Theological Seminary (OH)"],"subject_tesim":["Sacramental character","Conscience","Eschatology","Christian sociology--Catholic Church","Environmental ethics"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This project explores the relationship of campus ministry, conscience formation, and environmental justice among Roman Catholic campus ministers in the United States, and offers a sacramental eschatology as an ecocentric framework for conscience formation and campus ministry. They are challenged by obstacles to conscience formation and by the moral concerns of students. The author develops a theology of hopeful worship, based on the understanding that in worship we participate in a Messianic banquet already begun in the passion, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Beginning with a review of current literature about eschatological dimensions of worship, the author describes major authors in the field, their issues, and their insights. The project constructs a theology of hopeful worship based on eschatological dimensions of regular weekly worship services, sacraments of baptism and the Eucharist, and a liturgical calendar. The author concludes that concentration on eschatological dimensions of worship makes those who worship aware not only of the 'end times' but also of the nearness of Christ. Realizing the presence of Christ in worship can potentially transform those who worship into those who base their hope on Christ's life, death, and future."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["0f245891-e4c1-47d9-842b-9aefbafae138"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791135092802846720,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:45:35.220Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T04:30:51Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T06:52:02Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"39de388b-1717-4006-a398-3eef322e2983","accessControl_ssim":["2186ffd8-a764-448a-9209-76f8e4bda65b"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["The church as the new creation"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T04:30:50Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-16T23:48:38Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["658b459d-7dde-4050-a083-44be1008d540"],"hasLease_ssim":["78e373e0-9f7f-40a4-9449-e0dcb6eb5d66"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Columbia Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Stanley P Saunders"],"year_tesim":["1995"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["John S McCall"],"keyword_tesim":["New creation"],"publisher_tesim":["Columbia Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Eschatology"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["The issue of what it means for the church to be the new creation is addressed in this paper. This image comes from 2 Corinthians 5:16-21. The Apostle Paul makes it clear that it is the church, the gathered community, where one begins to see in a new way what God is doing. There were some very definite tensions for the first century Christians as they sought to live out their identity as the new creation. Paul believed that this new creation was not just something to look forward to in the future, but that it was an emerging reality for them in their day. Using the Corinthian situation, the church today seeks to discover how the 'eschaton' is present and visible in the midst of history in the person and work of Jesus Christ. The hope for this new future begins to control how the church believes, thinks, and acts in the present. The new creation is a reality now. Such a vision allows the church to live in the tensions of the already and the not yet and the theological and sociological realities of the church. The issue for the church is to shape a community which allows the people to see with gospel eyes."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Columbia Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["b5eba5c2-141b-4673-9689-2f9720736859"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791127952079978496,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T06:52:05.296Z","score":1.0}],"facets":[{"name":"resource_type_sim","items":[{"value":"Unknown","hits":17,"label":"Unknown"},{"value":"D.Min.
