The author gathered several role-playing gamers, both Christian and not, and gauged their perceptions of topics related to both church and gaming before and after participating in such a role-playing campaign. In compliance with that commission, passion and action are the two sides of the coin for Christians. Passion is the heat for evangelism, while action is the light for evangelism. However, though Christians in Hong Kong have passion for evangelism, the church has no significant growth. A 65-question research tool was sent to 100 pastors and church leaders in churches of different sizes and ages. Alongside this growth is also the fast growth of the church in Africa. The growth of cities could be rich fields for harvest for the church if it is able to use this growth as viable field for the gospel of Jesus Christ. Most seminaries in Africa have not yet awaken to the challenge of training pastors who are able to tackle adequately the urban challenges that face the church in Africa today. In order to provide the desired training for pastors who will be able to minister in the city, this project is written with the view to developing an urban ministry curriculum for the Reformed Theological Seminary (RTS) Mkar in Nigeria. The non-deterministic nature of the urban context and the disciple-making process is evident throughout this study. The description and analysis of this complex interaction are presented both on a conceptual and practical level. The conceptual level is presented in the review of literature and biblical theology. Many postmoderns do not start from an understanding of the Judeo-Christian faith or believe in absolute truth, but see truth as an unfixed perspective relative to the community in which an individual lives. Yet postmoderns are deeply spiritual and longing for shelter from the bombardment of news about the economy, natural disasters, wars, and famines. They long for a home where they can find rest for their souls. The church is called to make known the God who is a shelter in the storm of life and a place of rest for weary souls. There are two ways in which the glorious Son of God is made known by the church: the preaching of Scripture and the worshiping community. The goal was to create a gateway for radio listeners to reconnect with a Christian church community. The model was based on Paul's passion and method of reaching out to the Gentiles. The author conducted a one-year church service as his study method for this project. These models could be useful in energizing existing churches to participate in planting new churches. Limiting the focus to post 1979 starts, research was a combination of historical, quantitative and qualitative reviews augmented through interviews with pastors and laity possessing specific knowledge of individual church stories. Two potential models were examined: Elijah (2 Kings 2) for closing/merging and Antioch (Acts 13:1-4) for sending out. The question is how the church can support members to be more comfortable in their sharing of faith in view of the impact of the secularity in society. The research consisted of conversations between the author and the board members of Mission Covenant Church of Vänersborg, Sweden. The research can be concluded in the discovery of bad spiritual confidence among the members and the lack of spiritual pathways to maturity.
