As director of the Evangelism and Church Development Program the author was in a unique position to ask the question: could the program of Natural Church Development (NCD) be used to reverse the situation? First the author established the parallels between the ecclesiology of Wesley and the theology of Natural Church Development. Then the author taught NCD principles and invited participating churches to engage in NCD assessments. Chapter 3 examines cognitive and spiritual development of children. Personality types are examined as they relate to spiritual sensitivity to provide an overview of intentional evangelism. Chapter 4 covers what happened during the fifteen-week project. This chapter focuses on giving the facts of what happened and who was involved. Chapter 5 is the evaluation of the project. This chapter shares the goals that were met and those that were not. The author gives his personal theological reflection. The project director increased his knowledge in disciple-making strategies and his skill in strategic planning. A strategy planning team was selected and trained to develop a disciple-making strategy based on the demographic research and other disciple-making strategies discovered by the project director.
