In response to this question the author formulated 'The Inquirer's Catechism' to measure the phenomenon. Over a two year period, the author taught a series of structured catechetical courses to four groups of inquirers.  He tested all participants on their perceived faith relationships with God at the beginning and the end of the instructions with a values clarification test, a diagrammed drawing project, and a self-report questionnaire. The author analyzed the statistics and noted all the signs of transformational process.
