As families conduct a ministry event together, they will increase communication and interpersonal concern for their fellow members. Three tools judged the effect of family ministry team participation. These tools included an entrance/exit interview, interdependence inventory, and a post-event debriefing session with the family. There are studies of counseling theories, case work, and theological reflection.  It is written with the intention of helping those people who come for marriage and family counseling to reduce the damage and distortions in their relationships, and build up more healthy marital and familial behaviors in orientation towards further spiritual growth and maturity.
