The project presents biblical and theological foundations.  It includes an analysis of a variety of biblical passages in both Old and New Testaments which image God in feminine terms. This project contributes to this task.  In an adult study class in a local church the author uses feminist biblical hermeneutics to enable lay persons to discover and articulate their own hermeneutic.  This process allows for the emergence of greater congruence between an inherited view of the Bible and a view which functions in accord with experience.
