The author realized that his ministry could be significantly hampered because it lacked pertinent developmental understanding of his parishioners. The project's process involved three primary components: individual interviews with subsequent Fowlerian interpretations, a group evaluative meeting, and a concluding questionnaire. The project took place within a congregation in the United Church of Canada and involved 36 session members who were responsible with the minister for the congregation's spiritual oversight. This qualitative research project proved beneficial for the minister and most session members."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Boston University"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["2d58bd09-76d0-4970-b257-d55229e0173e"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1799716114172739584,"timestamp":"2024-05-22T01:57:14.909Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T01:07:13Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T07:26:19Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"f534a1dd-b2a7-48c9-84e4-67223f051094","accessControl_ssim":["4eb72468-56ce-4b88-97a8-65cf43f93d92"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["A faith journey: moral development for collegians"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T01:07:13Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T05:08:07Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["ffa0d1e1-2ed6-4071-9910-4323f16b109d"],"hasLease_ssim":["4e3a0033-081d-4bd0-a953-234e11d9286c"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["United Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Newell J Wert"],"year_tesim":["1988"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["LeRoy W Kettinger"],"keyword_tesim":["Tests and measurements in religion"],"publisher_tesim":["United Theological Seminary (OH)"],"subject_tesim":["Developmental psychology","Faith development","Fowler, James W","Church work with students","Kegan, Robert","Roberts Wesleyan College (Rochester, NY)"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["Lessons for collegians to use in small reflection/action groups were produced and field tested at the campus of Roberts Wesleyan College. Such traditional approaches to students in Christian schools as classroom Bible teaching and chapel services are not functioning effectively in modern Japan. From his own experience, the author proposes a new approach of volunteer work programs formed by small groups. When they are thrown into an entirely new life situation students ask existential questions. The way is then open for teachers to explain meanings of the Christian message. The theories of Erikson, Fowler and others provide the basis for discussions. The role of the teacher is crucial in this approach. Three biblical metaphors -- shepherd, wounded healer, and wise folly -- are used to examine the role."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Miscellaneous"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["4f3e9d5f-fc19-4d44-a264-44b56604eb9a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791130690141552640,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T07:35:36.514Z","score":1.0}],"facets":[{"name":"resource_type_sim","items":[{"value":"Unknown","hits":28,"label":"Unknown"},{"value":"D.Min.
