The project develops exegetical and historical perspectives of spiritual gifts and devises a strategy for church growth utilizing spiritual gifts.  Participants identified their spiritual gifts by participating in a spiritual gifts workshop.  The workshop divided participants into two ministry groups and facilitated their exercising those gifts in ministry.  A church growth committee, comprised of persons with the gift of administration, developed plans for growth.  Gifted participants, possessing other spiritual gifts, made those plans a reality. Tests used were the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, Role Preference Inventory, Inventory of Spiritual Gifts plus several self-discovery exercises and journaling.  Six participants attended eight two-hour sessions.  Lectures and Bible studies and group discussion aided in personal discoveries of grace-gifts and how they can be used in a congregation and community. Results of the study indicated that grace-gifts can be identified by this method but that more information is needed from both congregation and community that suggests specific ways these grace-gifts can be used. For these gifts to be effectively utilized in service, the church itself must be structured for employing the spiritual gifts of members.  I drafted a theology of spiritual gifts and a philosophy of ministry regarding spiritual gifts.  I guided the church leadership in drafting an official church position regarding the operation of spiritual gifts within the congregation.  In addition, job descriptions were drafted.  A series of sermons was designed to assist the church in understanding spiritual gifts and discovering gifts each possessed.
