The first section covers the geopolitical situation in the world and the human situation in the city, both of which indicate the need for ministry to world-class cities. The second section establishes the hermeneutical, theological, ecclesiological, missiological, and apologetical parameters within which this thesis project is written. The third section identifies the dilemma in the city, studies the various Christian responses to the city, and reviews evangelical ministry in Boston. The fourth section evaluates the church-planting ministry with which the writer of this thesis has been involved thus far. On the basis of the findings of these sections, a new ministry plan is presented, encompassing the planting of a model church and the establishment of local, regional, continental, and international networks. This ministry project was conducted in two strategic locations: Milpitas, California and Shanghai, China.  The primary objective of the seminar was for the participants to gain a greater perspective of and to discover their role in missions.  Eighteen participants provided the survey data prior to attending the seminar and twelve completed the survey data after taking a trip. Research explored servant leadership, distance leadership, and cross-cultural leadership. Field interviews with more than 80 global leaders suggested that effective global leaders (a) employ servant leadership by humbly serving and developing others into mature, autonomous leaders, (b) overcome relational distance and build trust using advanced communications technology, and (c) grow in self-awareness of cultural bias. This study describes the reactions of Christian students from Trinity University to the faith and practice of those whom they meet while studying abroad. After reviewing an alternative model of Christian missionary, the critical distinction between missions and missio Dei, and cross-cultural diffusion of Christianity, themes drawn from interviews with students are presented, as well as student perceptions of the impact of studying abroad on their faith. Utilizing historical research methodology, the author studied the response of CBInternational to the globalization of missions between 1989 and 2004. His research identified both the thinking and the resulting actions of CBInternational. Based on biblical, theological and missiological principles, an analysis of CBInternational's response is presented.
