A Likert Scale and a series of open ended questions measured the impact that this resource had upon the participants. The findings revealed that although this resource made a positive impact upon the participants' well-being, it did not adequately attend to the subject of grieving losses through lament. The importance of lament in the process of grief is not widely understood. Open-ended interviews were conducted with five people with diverse grief experiences from the Protestant Evangelical, specifically Baptist, faith tradition. The results of the study found that most people depended on family and close friends as their primary source of support.  Some felt supported by their church, but most felt church members were uncomfortable with discussions about their grief.
