Through story sharing, holy listening, and Lectio and Visio Divina, this group setting allows clergy to deepen self-compassion. The project contends that these contemplative practices foster self-compassion as a lifelong discipline. This project responds to the spiritual and bodily harm of colonialism, capitalism, and white supremacy, which manifests as disembodiment, dualistic thinking, and perfectionism.
