Chapter 1 introduces the thesis statement, ministry needs, literature review, and theological issues with regard to evangelizing the Navajos. Chapter 2 introduces their history and worldview. Chapter 3 introduces their indigenous religious rituals, their use of witchcraft, and their use of peyote in their religion. Chapter 4 describes how Christians can connect with the Navajos and how Christians can apply biblical texts to evangelize the Navajos. This project was designed to help Christians be more intentional about cultivating their marital relationships. The purpose of this project in ministry was to build biblical Christian marriages that would withstand the challenges that arise in the marital context. The research question asked was,  'If Christians are equipped by their minister for marriage enrichment, will their marriages be strengthened?' The participants evaluated and deepened their understanding of worship and intentionality through group sessions and the use of workbooks. They also wrote, implemented and evaluated weekly action plans to give opportunity to practice intentionality in leading worship. Finally, participants were asked to commit themselves to continued intentionality in their worship leadership role. The project explores current grieving practices on the reservation, Lakota cultural resources that facilitate good grieving, and the ways that Lakota people become enmeshed in their grieving. Traumatic deaths, conflicted grieving, and multiple loss complicate Lakota grieving.
