A qualitative methodology using observation, narratives, face-to-face interviews, and a survey was employed. The findings suggest systemic and organizational issues concerning policies and procedures which include a neglect and lack of positive rewards, reduced staffing and high turnover rates, differing approaches to care planning, constant policy changes, lost leadership, and staff refusal to float. Jesus proclaimed a high quality of life as the destiny of every individual.  The choice to pursue this destiny is fostered by pictures of humankind as special creations of God.  Textile mills structured life to foster dependency as a means of controlling the labor force.
