A review of the history of interim ministry development through the organization of the Alban Institute and MATC follows.  Three Kansas churches are researched through the interim process and possible models of interim ministry are suggested for consideration.  Theological perspectives and biblical models are reviewed. The project researched and used intentional interim and conflict resolution methods.  It included interviews with most members of the congregation, seminar training, and a weekend planning retreat.  Issues of change and power were encountered.  Research focused on conflict resolution sytles in the biblical narrative.  The project was written in modified case study format.
