A primary premise of the work is that the reason for the 'silent exodus' that many Korean-American churches are currently experiencing shares remarkable similarities with postmodern emphasis on rejection of any metanarrative. The author suggests that this rejection of metanarrative is partly responsible for the 'silent exodus.' The project consisted of survey, seminar, training and follow-up with churches. As a result, church leaders and Sunday school teachers were challenged and changed attitude toward children's ministry. However, in order to implement effective children's ministry, more is required than changed hearts of leaders. Precedent research included a brief study of the spiritual difficulties facing second-generation Koreans, as well as relevant church planting and scriptural concerns.  Utilizing descriptive research, the author surveyed leaders of second-generation Korean congregations.  The objective was to obtain practical information and valuable insight into the strategies used to successfully establish independent congregations.
