The first part of the project is based on library research. The second is interviewing and analyzing other pastors in the Korean American church and congregation.  Because of conflicts and splits, the Korean American church is unhealthy and too weak to lead society and young people despite the church's great growth. Both pastors and congregations need to renew their understanding of the relationships that cause conflicts and splits leading to a spiritual maturity and the idea of a vital community. The Korean American church must practice new spirituality initiating and sustaining interdependent relationships internally and externally. As the result of this research, on adult study course on prayer for Korean American church lay people is design, implemented and evaluated. The D/P is arranged in three Parts. In part one, Wesley's historical and theological background together with his spirituality was dealt with his practice of prayer and finally his activities in the U.S.A. In part two, I examined Korean spirituality which was influenced very much by Shamanism and Mysticism. I illustrated two pastors' stories which impressed me very much. In part three, a questionnaire was designed to know what the Korean scholars and pastors thought about Wesleyan prayer and their prayer practice. In the Korean-American community, as illustrated by the situation in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, the church may be failing to develop and implement intentional ministries toward the elderly. Among numerous Korean churches in the area (over one-hundred local congregations), only three churches have programmatic ministries for seniors. The following dissertation first examines the Bible for a proper understanding of the place of seniors in the church. On the basis of this biblical understanding of the elderly, three of the more successful senior ministry programs in the Dallas/Fort Worth area are studied. Various survey data are presented and analyzed. The dissertation then compares the ministries among the three programs and, more importantly, to the biblical view of the elderly. Well prepared joint worship services and ministries could be implemented to bridge the gaps. Joint worship services with different interpretation methodologies were tested and two joint ministries were conducted. Interviews and questionnaires were used as evaluation mechanisms. Joint worship services could be able to achieve the purpose in conjunction with effective joint ministries.
