This study utilized a qualitative design using semi-structured interviews with six pastors who served on bicultural pastoral staff teams. The research focused on three areas: core values, emotional intelligence, and cultural intelligence. This study concluded that the pastors' self-awareness when combined with their commitment to the Gospel was essential to effective team leadership practices. The first two chapters draw an introductory portrait of ministry needs. The next chapter describes six phases of methodology necessary to achieve this goal, followed by a theologically constructed foundation in chapter four. The next two chapters use examples of church conflict found in the New Testament and describe the findings from survey analysis. This project used a quantitative and qualitative research method with questionnaires to pastors of twenty-four Korean American churches which have implemented, or are currently implementing, the EE program for spiritual growth of new and existing members. The EE program has two weakneses in Korean American churches. One is a lack of networks of relationship, and the other is a lack of training and application for witnessing as a way of life. This project shows that the EE program is a good model of discipleship for evangelism-orientation, if properly adapted to Korean American churches. EE is not a canned evangelism program, but it provides a good model of relationship evangelism. This project recommends that the Korean American church needs to make EE their own, and adapt it to their own contexts.
