The context was the Saint Paul Baptist Church, Capitol Heights, Maryland. Design was qualitative and quantitative involving four test churches of varying size and denomination. The field test churches were engaged in teaching, preaching and prayer activities over the course of twelve weeks. Pre- and post assessment tools were administrated. Data analysis revealed that the increase activities had a direct correlation to increase attendance and participation in corporate prayer. Zion Church on how they can work together in preserving the pastor's life so they will have many joyful days of ministering to the people within and outside the church. The author researched this matter through a combination of group meetings, questionnaires, and conversations with laity and clergypersons. The project ends with recommendations for Union Grove and future pastors on enhancing the pastor's health and the importance of the pastors accepting personal responsibility for maintaining their own healthy lifestyle. In addition, problematic areas for the pastor, love interest, congregation and denominational structure are considered through the lens of systems theory recognizing that all are dynamically connected within a larger emotional system.
