Part one tests a formula developed by the Church Growth Movement (celebration + congregation + cell ' church) as a model for responding to rapid growth at the LaSalle Street Church, a non-denominational evangelical church in Chicago.  Part two examines the corporate LaSalle Street Church and reaches several conclusions about its current style of leadership and the participants' personal and professional behaviors. The research question was, 'how will a leadership development program affect the Council on Ministries?' three major events were implemented.  Two preparatory sessions involved present members of the COM. The concluding workshop was an orientation for newly elected members of the Council.  The conclusion is that the development of leaders is accomplished through teaching skills, sharing information , and a process of spiritual growth.
