Para-ministers are non-professional church workers, who serve alongside the ordained pastor who directs their efforts toward specific ministries. These persons are not bivocational pastors, associate pastors, or ministers of religious education, music, etc.  They are lay persons who are given monetary remuneration for part-time services and full-time responsibilities.  The project includes a biblical foundation and theological justification for the model along with guidelines for its implementation. Several methods are employed: 1) research in secondary sources of theology and the social sciences; 2) application of research results to design a course for parents that integrates the family and the church; and 3) implementation and evaluation of the course.  The evaluation concentrates on leadership, the value of the family, parental ministry and the service of God's family.
