The individuals who completed this training received information on worship styles and doctrinal elements of worship and were taught technical and practical skills to plan and conduct weekly contemporary, seeker friendly worship services. The purpose of the research was to demonstrate a correlation between small-group discipleship and the development of new male leadership in an aging church.  The researcher formed a group of seven men who met for nine weeks to learn discipleship principles.  The researcher administered measurement instruments for both Christian growth and change in attitude toward assuming leadership in the church at the beginning and conclusion of the intervention. In this qualitative study, the author examined the three predominate factors that contribute to the need for a church to relocate, the four major obstacles encountered in the relocation process and ten basic principles needed for successfully managing the relocation project. A quantitative research method (written surveys and focus group interviews) was used for this study. It was determined that influences shaping members' ideas of leadership include scripture, Stone-Campbell principles and practices, workplace experiences, and American political structures. The extent of thee influences varied according to a member's age, gender, and length of association with the Stone-Campbell movement. The Korean immigrants have experienced great growth since they first came to Hawaii in 1903. The Korean church in America has also undergone tremendous growth. First of all, this study presents the history of Korean immigration to the United States and the accompanying growth of the church in various stages from 1903 to the present. In addition, the study analyzes the results of a survey on what kind of leadership Korean American church congregation members desire. Many of Korean American church congregation members want the servant leadership model for their pastors because they have difficulty adapting to their new life in America. They suffer physical and mental stresses and depression arising from life as a minority group in a foreign land.
