Blanchard into the context of ministry.  Eight ministers volunteered to receive training and implement the training into their ministries.  Each minister enlisted team members from their ministry setting in order to accomplish a specific task.  The ministers and team members used assessment instruments to track changes in leadership behavior.  The project's goal was to answer the question; 'Is Situational Leadership valuable and useful in the context of ministry?'     This project was effective and provided a tool for ministerial leadership. Chapter 1 presented an overview that included three goals of cell group ministry, background information, definitions, and the research methodologies. Chapter 2 focused on biblical, theological, and historical foundations for cell groups. It described the role and perception of leadership in the functioning of the cell group. Chapter 3 addressed the social and psychological aspects of the cell group. It discussed the cell group meetings that are essential to Christian experience and growth in modern society: flexibility, mobility, inclusiveness, and effectiveness. The usefulness of cell groups in a cross-cultural setting is described in this chapter. Chapter 4 explained the procedures, program training, and equipping of cell leaders. The information obtained from Chapters 2 and 3 were applied to the program. Chapter 5 evaluated the plan, leaders, leader training program, teaching program, goals of this project, methods of this project, and the outcome of the cell group. A cross-section of leaders from the New Mount Olive Baptist Church served as participants in a case study.  An analysis of the leadership styles and the organizational culture within the New Mount Olive Baptist Church was performed through the administering of questionnaires, a professionally designed Leadership Inventory, and a Congregational Systems Study.  Findings suggest that existing ministry leaders were unclear about role expectations and lacked effective training.  Additionally, emerging leaders were not being identified and engaged in ministry.  The project demonstrated that the development of a comprehensive training module designed to teach quality and excellence would better identify, train and develop ministry leaders. This supervision system incorporated the core elements of McCarty's model of a supervised ministry. Eight participants were selected from the staff team. They went through five training sessions and attained supervision sessions for four months. Most of the participants mastered the core elements of this supervision system.  In turn, they modified and applied it in supervising their staff members. The author researched formation of lay pastoral leadership through covenant discipleship group.  He found that the congregation was thoroughly acculturated.  It is a mirror image of the dominant culture. The program was drawn specifically from traditional American forms of and resources for care. The core values of the China Ministry for the FLCF have essentially five aspects: evangelism, church development, spiritual formation, servant leadership, and teamwork.  This initial communication of the core values made a substantial impact on the leadership of the FLCF.  The greatest impact of the training program of was in terms of the participants' willingness to adopt the core values in their ministry--especially the core values of servant leadership and teamwork.  Their attraction to the core values had increased moderately. Their understanding of the core values had improved somewhat. Interestingly, as a whole, their belief in the core values increased, but less than belief in some areas of the core values.
