To accomplish these objectives a worship committee was formed.  Twenty percent of the congregation was interviewed and eighteen small groups shaped new patterns of worship.  In addition, several aspects of North Stamford's present worship life were compared to biblical, historical and contemporary expressions of Christian worship life.  After reviewing the data from the interviews and small groups, the worship committee discovered the importance of the traditional way of worshipping God at NSCC. Pastors and laity review liturgy from the historical bulletins of their own congregations. They are supported in the formation of new skills in the creation of liturgy.  Believers come to recognize connections between periods of history, shared emotions and their participation in the biblical narrative.
