The method of research is the result of local and conference-wide teaching opportunities, as well as implementing dance and drama ministries on the Preston-Hurlock charge. The evaluation consists of interviews and surveys of participants and congregations. Issues addressed in the project include: 1) whether members of the local congregation have a clear understanding of the relationship between the sacrament of Holy Communion and the mission of the church, 2) whether a more complete knowledge and understanding of Holy Communion has an impact upon their perception of the church's mission, and 3) whether the way in which Holy Communion is practiced influences the way in which they attempt to fulfill the mission of the church. This gap revealed a lack of confidence arising from an inadequate understanding of the depths of connections between baptism and healing.
