The project began by researching existing methods and models of pastoral leadership development to ascertain the essential elements of pastoral leadership development. Having determined the essential elements, I created a curriculum to instruct the eight essential elements discovered through the research phase. The project  was completed by meeting three project goals. The first goal was completed by researching the field of mentoring and identifying essential skills for mentor training. The second goal was accomplished by developing a curriculum designed to equip leaders of First Baptist Church De Soto, De Soto, Missouri, in mentoring skills. The third goal was accomplished by equipping selected leaders of First Baptist Church De Soto, De Soto, Missouri, in essential mentoring skills. Leaders were equipped through five sessions over a single-day workshop. Several evaluation metrics were utilized to ensure the project goals were met. Evaluation metrics, including expert evaluators, rubrics, pretests and posttests, and surveys, were used in the project. Two professional goals were also established. The project director selected married couples of the church, and he equipped them with marriage mentoring skills. These couples became in turn potential coaches with the ability to train other couples living with marital issues. This ensures a granted path to the transmission of values, skills, and character qualities, focusing on a lifetime marriage.\r\n\r\nThe project director began to research the field of marriage mentoring and to identify essential skills. The result of this research drove him to design a workshop plan using the existing workshop models, comparing and analyzing them in order to reach the most effective training workshop in marriage mentoring. With the findings of his research, the project director completed the workshop by drafting and delivering a series of training sessions to equip the selected couples of First Haitian Baptist Church of Pompano Beach, Florida, with marriage mentoring skills. Experts were called as evaluators to assess all the various phases of the Job"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["The purpose of this thesis is to show that the biblical sage is a dynamic and compelling paradigm for the practice of campus ministry. Some campus ministers work out of no clear conceptual model while doing ministry. Others work out of a variety of models such as the priest/preacher, the evangelist, the prophet and the counselor. Each of these models has strengths and limitations as we shall attempt to demonstrate. Beyond this, it is my conviction that the paradigm of the sage is able to enrich each model.This project paper focuses on the three major Old Testament works of wisdom: Ecclesiastes, Job, Proverbs; indirectly on wisdom Psalms; plus on elements of wisdom in the New Testament.Closely related to the matter of models of ministry is the issue of self-identity in ministry. Campus ministers often suffer from identity confusion. They serve in a setting of faculty, staff, and students. The campus minister bears similarity to each of these, yet is none of them. The campus minister teaches, administers programs and continually learns. Still the minister realizes that none of these functions fully describes one's professional identity. Who then really is the campus minister? Matthew","Mentoring in church work"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This Doctor on Ministry project created a training program to train small group leaders to lead the emerging adults for Trinity Church of the Nazarene in Charlotte, North Carolina. This project shared the concerns of the church in losing emerging adults after they graduate from high school. The project explored the concerns of the emerging adult generation. The literature research included the writings of Chap Clark, Kara E. Powell, David Kinnaman, Corey Seemiller, Meghan Grace, Pew Research, and others. This qualitative research project focused on how to train leaders to lead a small group of emerging adults. This project was conducted in three phases. The first phase presented in a six-part sermon series to the congregation. The second phase interviewed emerging adult participants. The third phase trained small group leaders to lead emerging adults. This project helped the congregation, and small group leaders, to have a better understanding of emerging adults. The small group leaders gained confidence in leading emerging adults. The author asserts that properly interpreting the Scriptures as well as properly interpreting oneself in light of the Scriptures is paramount for life change. The study especially focused on cultivating this habit among Millennials.Method: After submitting a questionnaire to the congregation at large and facilitating pre-seminar interviews with a volunteer group of Millennials from the congregation, the author implemented a six-session seminar designed to cultivate “hermeneutical meditation” among the Millennials who volunteered. Chapter 3 details the writer’s goals, limitations, and plan for his project. The researcher will support the thesis statement and describe the process by which it was addressed through the project.Chapter 4 explains in detail the writer’s formation of his workshop material. This chapter will give the reader an overview of the training material as well as the curriculum utilized in carrying out the couple-to-couple mentorship.Chapter 5 provides a detailed evaluation demonstrating the results of the project implementation. The researcher related the research that supports the thesis statement through the results of the surveys taken by the newlywed couples.       Chapter 6 is a summary section.
