In the second Quadrennium it received greater support from the Church.  Within the Southern New England Conference a strategy was put into place in 1983.  This project focuses on that strategy and raises questions about its relevance. To determine the impact of the strategy, visits are made to ethnic centers, a structured interview is held with Bishop George Bashore and questionnaires are sent to district superintendents, pastors and lay persons. The project includes an analysis of the historical, sociological, biblical and theological context; the experience of one local church with two congregations; the role of the conference; the experience of the General Board of Global Ministries.
