The project involves the drafting of a preliminary mission statement by the parish strategic planning committee, and the opportunity for reaction and input by the parishioners and organizations of parish to the preliminary statement.  A final version of the mission statement will then be developed through a parish leadership retreat weekend and a second drafting by the strategic planning committee.  The Parish Mission Statement will then be presented to the parish, and the adoption of the statement will take place through a signing of a parish covenant at the International Fair Liturgy in October 1983, and through adoption by a consensus of the parish council. In the course of this christianization, the Nigerians were westernized. Subsequently, Christianity is regarded as a foreign religion, hence with the present increasing development of theological thinking and understanding, the idea of indigenizing the Christian liturgy dominates the agenda of most Christians. Many current programs and activities are based upon historical traditions.  The author saw a need to evaluate present procedures in the light of history feeling that such a study would reveal any effective or fragmented practices and policies, strengthen the present ministry, and contribute to the design of future strategy.  After reading extensively in the areas of biblical and theological foundations for missions, missiology, historiography and Spanish history, the author thoroughly investigated the records, minutes, documents and archives of the Baptist mission to Spain and interviewed missionaries and Spaniards having a personal knowledge of the history of the mission.  Letters and documents were obtained from other religious agencies. Though there are Orthodox people in a number of regions of the world, the focus of this project will be on people with Orthodox background who are currently living in Eastern Europe or who have immigrated from countries in Eastern Europe. The project work will begin with extensive research of the beliefs of people of Eastern orthodox background. The research will primarily be conducted through a study of the literature available on Eastern Orthodoxy, but will also involve interviews with current and former Orthodox adherents. Two means will be used to inform and train evangelical Christians in how to witness to people of Eastern Orthodox background. First, the writer will develop, lead, and evaluate a seminar on witnessing to Orthodox people. Seminar participants will be issued a manual that will reinforce the material taught. Second, the writer will revise the manual based on evaluation and feedback from seminar participants. This project is a modified content analysis of literature used by the Southern Baptist Convention. Questions about the literature were asked in order to gauge the strengths, weaknesses and common themes. The answers provided data that was beneficial in determining how the denomination trains churches in sponsoring new work. As a result seventeen principles were identified.
