When one considers the poverty, geopolitical distance, backward or even barbaric lifestyles, and spiritual resistance of these peoples, there is little wonder why they remain unreached.  The Lampungese of South Sumatra, Indonesia, represent such a people.  They are culturally separated from the Javanese and Batak Christians who live in their province.  They are geopolitically isolated from the main island of Java and they are economically and technologically challenged, having been slow to adjust to the modernization happening around them. The project leader will select members from within the staff of the International Sports Federation to form a research development team.  The team will work together with the project leader to develop a training manual for sports mission team leaders.  This project will include a seminar for potential sports mission team leaders, who will learn tactics and principles for recruiting volunteers to fill sports mission teams and raise the necessary funds. Specifically, this is a study of a religious congregation called the Congregation of Marians, with an emphasis on its missionary endeavor in three different countries.  The Marians began as a religious organization in Poland, but over the years started an outreach into countries around the world.  This paper reports the research accomplished by this Marian missionary endeavor, limiting itself to the Marian establishments in the US, Great Britain and Brazil.  The research shows that the Marians are very successful in their Brazilian missions.  In Great Britain the Marians are less successful.  This paper presents reasons for the very different end results in both countries. In Great Britain the Marians reached out to Polish immigrants, and were successful initially in this ministry.  But, since the Marians did not expand their ministries to the larger population, they faced a decreasing ministerial need.  In Brazil, the Marians reached out to the larger population and thrived.  The ultimate goal of this paper was to view Marian cross-cultural outreach.  The Marian effort in the US is viewed in comparison to the two countries just mentioned.  The core research included questionnaires and focus groups in all three countries. To test this hypothesis, the author accepted the job of 'Missions and Evangelism Pastor' of a 1000 member church with the goal of establishing a daughter church in a years time.  Cultural barriers were largely neutralized and an indigenous church was established in just over a year. In Chapter 3 the author gives instructions to the context, which administration, organization and the content, which is appropriate for this ministry of evangelism to the Digo people. In Chapter 4 the author addresses the methodology regarding how the implementation of this mission strategy will be carried out. The questionnaire method was used among Asian Indian pastors to study certain areas of ministry and the level of networking with established churches.  This project analyzes some aspects of friendship evangelism and traditional methodologies, and will help readers understand Hinduism, biblical Christianity, cultural Christianity, Hindu cultural values and belief systems in order to remove misconceptions, biased feelings, and wrong attitudes.
