There were three main steps in reaching this goal: the exegesis of biblical principles to find the model of Jesus' incarnational ministry, the exegesis of the Thai Buddhist context, and the development of a Thai contextualized model for building an effective ministry. The findings from field studies supported the library research about the belief system of the Thai Buddhist students and their value orientations. Laotians who convert to Christianity are considered to be traitors to their family, their country, and their king.  To be a good Laotian, one must be a faithful Buddhist throughout life.  The author, who is Laotian, has developed a method of presenting the gospel, which contextualizes Laotians' understanding of God. Family ties are the most important factor in Lao culture and custom. Therefore, the author used the concept of God as the Creator and Father of mankind, which led 32 out of 50 people to the Lord. The project was designed to utilize small study group instruction and proclamation to reach the stated goals.  The group learned Buddhist beliefs and the principles for Christian witnessing to the Buddhist as well as basic evangelistic skills. The author and the participants prepared for the implementation of the ministry by using instruction on Christian and Buddhist doctrines, case studies, and the FAITH process in ministry and witnessing. The author and the participants then discovered physical needs of selected Japanese Buddhists. The author and the participants accomplished their task by designing the ministry to meet both the physical and spiritual needs of the Buddhists to whom they
