There is a transformation from mere concern and curiosity about the poor to a more reality-centered mobilization process.  The mission praxis is contextual. The most important outcome of this type of mission is theological growth and Christian fellowship rather than the services it provides such as construction, evangelism or medicine.  The author presents a typology of contemporary missiology and discusses the development of the mission team movement. Participants are surveyed in order to measure personal missiological growth.
