It presents research conducted by analyzing a survey which was completed twice, before and after six weeks of study, by three groups in two different churches. Relevant history is traced from the first through the twenty-first centuries. Core principles are presented such as the ultimate authorities, principles of interpretation, communication, contextualization, dialogue, diapraxis, and diplomacy. A Lutheran communicative contextualization process is introduced and emphasizes quad-cultural communication. The biblical basis for strategic planning, involvement of all God's people, and eight approaches in the literature is reviewed. The perspective of outsiders is assessed and interviews with Muslims provide insider perspectives. Muslim attitudes toward Christianity are analyzed as expressed in the literature of the period and in a field study conducted in 2011-2012. The theme of God's saving victory is identified as an aid in helping Muslims understand the Bible. Jesus' person and work are explained in terms that are more comprehensible to Muslims. Muslim attitudes toward Egypt's Christians are explored. The author argues that the Islamic community has suffered fragmentation as a result of this artifical divide.  The author contends that really understanding the concept of tawheed is the true answer -- the bridge as it were -- to overcoming  this artifical divide.  He decided to work with young people who were not as tainted as their parents. The author utilized cognitive restructuring as the theoretical construct. It looks at the history of Christian witness to Muslims and suggests that relational and contextually sensitive approaches be employed in the presentation of biblical truths. An evangelistic Bible study written to reach literate Afghan Muslims, called The Unfolding Story, serves as the core of the project. It employs a whole Bible approach providing lessons from creation to Pentecost. Lessons progress chronologically through salvation themes, in particular sacrifice motifs from the Old Testament, culminating in the substitutionary death of Christ on the Cross. The problem of sin is especially highlighted as are the attempts to overcome sin by one's own efforts. Throughout the study, storytelling and guided discussion in a one-on-one encounter with an Afghan seeker has been employed. The purpose of this research was to identify those attitudes and practices.  The method employed to investigate this thesis was case study research of two church planting ministries among Muslim Filipinos.  This was done through a questionnaire and follow-up interviews.  This research identified attitudes such as faith, biblical optimism, and humility as helpful attitudes in church planting.
