The plan for this project entails a series of training seminars designed specifically to enhance the care-giving responsibilities of the church's deacons. It addressed the common lack of security and certainty in the spiritual lives of elderly believers.  Using narrative form and the text's own poetic imagery, the presentation communicated both cognitively and intuitively the heart of Scripture as a means of cultivating assurance and hope in Christ in those whose rational faculties are diminishing.  The study was evaluated by personal observation and by both formal and informal interviews.
