Another goal was to describe key elements that might be used for further research in a pilot study. I used the observational method of qualitative research. I concluded that the oral history interview and oral history coding system are effective ways to provide couples with useable feedback on ten dimensions of satisfaction within their marriage. The group participants wrote and shared their life histories. From these personal narratives we discovered a common dramaturgical pattern within our congregation. The historical research conducted to develop this paper included review of the documents of the Episcopal Church, the Diocese of Mississippi, the parish, the state of Mississippi, and the town of Yazoo City.  Interviews, both oral and written, were conducted with residents, former residents, and clergy in order to learn additional stories and to aid in the interpretation of other information.  The purpose of the project was to provide a permanent collection of stories about the history of God's people in the Episcopal Church in Yazoo County. Tape recorded interviews of 26 members of the church were conducted; the responses to eleven questions were submitted to five parish observers who prioritized the responses in terms of their own experience.
