The result informs four tasks of pastoral care: 1) training of volunteer leadership, 2) planning job careers with teens, 3) offering spiritual direction, and 4) assisting worship leaders in their planning.  Pastoral care is trinitarian.  Gifts given in creation (personality types) provide the means to the common unity to which the Church is called (sanctification). Such harmony is made possible through atonement (redemption). Decisions are made by consensus.  Plurality is acknowledged. Variety is cherished. Four needs were discovered during a meeting of bivocational pastors.  Pastoral care, family time, preaching and time management were addressed in separate workshops which lasted one full day each.  All of the workshops examined the time problem for the bivocational pastor in his roles as pastor and as secular employee.  The project found that much more attention must be directed to the dual roles of the bivocational pastor. They look for someone to help them uncover and articulate the longings and stirrings of grace within them.  This spiritual awakening has urged many parish clergy to seek assistance in the practice of spiritual direction.  An important component of the project is the exploration of the common boundary between spiritual direction and pastoral counseling. The author takes the humorous attitude as an ontological given.  She considers human beings to be anthropos gelasiens and/or homo risibilis -- created in the image and likeness of God (Theos Gelasios and/or Deus Risibilis).  The project explores Old Testament humor and Jesus' 'strategy of laughter' along with the primacy of humor in the Medieval church. It formulates an integrative model for the use of therapeutic humor in the liberation and development of the Individuating Self.  It indicates the types of humor that are most applicable to unfreedom in das Es, das Ich, and das Ueber Ich.
