The research examines the difference between accommodation and adaptation, analyzes the extent to which the preacher proclaims the word of God and/or persuades the congregation to respond to the word, and explores the rhetorical strategies of identification and argumentation. The project describes interviews with ten preachers to identify ways they prepare and deliver the sermon in multiple settings from the same text.
