The stated purpose of the project proposal was: to develop a ministry to families that will facilitate storytelling by families and individual family members.  The report describes how one congregation through a ministry of listening, assisted people in rediscovering and reclaiming their stories.  Leis, the author, assumes that the church has been called by God to be a seedbed and spawning ground for stories. It is a ministry with terminal patients that seeks to provide spiritual support for the whole person in order that he/she might live a comfortable, meaningful, and related experience for the remainder of life.  Included in this report is a comparison of patients receiving hopsice care as against those receiving traditional care. This project introduces the pastor in Monroe County, New York, to the Therapeutic Alternatives for Sexually Abused Children and Their Families (TASA) program.  TASA deals with incest, intrafamily sexual abuse through the court system and with therapeutic alternatives. The dynamics of an incestuous family are explored as well as ways in which the pastor may become an intervenor in an incestuous family.  The project concludes that incest occurs in greater frequency than most individuals are aware. The pastor is a potentially powerful source in intervention and in ministering to the families. Exploratory research and theological correlation procedures were employed.  The project conceptualizes how liberation ministry can best serve the needs of the estranged person in this church.  The model for pastoral care in the institutional geriatric church represents theory building. Organizations working with the physically handicapped were investigated for their findings, procedures and assistance.  Organizations made up of disabled persons and a select number of pastors, doctors, and other professionals were interviewed concerning their work with handicapped persons. Tape recorded interviews of 26 members of the church were conducted; the responses to eleven questions were submitted to five parish observers who prioritized the responses in terms of their own experience. This project was an effort to structure such a dialogue within the context of a sound doctrine of ministry.  A theology of ministry was developed and shared in a series of sermons and children's messages.  Dialogues were held to discuss the implications.  The congregation was surveyed before and after the sermon-dialogue series to detect any changes of attitude.
