Sacramental groups comprised of clergy from various education and ordination levels were developed to build community using a Eucharistic ritual template to improve clergy effectiveness and wholeness, increase connectionalism, reduce clergy isolation, and offer support needed to effectively minister to the changing communities within the district. Clergy gathered monthly around a meal, celebrated Holy Communion, and the sharing of ideas and best practices. The intervention was based on peer patient narratives and was presented in video format for six consecutive weeks as either spiritually oriented or as factually oriented.  The spiritual transformation scale (STS) score of the spiritually oriented narrative group was significantly greater than the factually oriented narrative group.
