This project considers the indebtedness of Pentecostals to sacramentalists and Evangelicals who contributed to the doctrine of a Spirit baptism subsequent to regeneration. The scriptures which relate speaking in tongues are discussed from a Pentecostal perspective, although alternative interpretations are explored. This was a descriptive study of cross sectional design in the nonexperimental mode with numerous variables operating simultaneously. Korean Pentecostals often perceive the Holy Spirit as powerful, individualistic, nonhistorical, and redemptive. Content analysis was used to evaluate data gathered from interviews of six original members and twelve new members who joined after the merger.  Problems revolving around fears of anonymity and loss of intimacy affected the assimilation of original members. The making of new friends was important in deciding whether or not original members or new members remained active. Confrontations in newly formed groups inhibited the assimilation process. The purpose of this thesis is to focus attention on and bring understanding of God's work in raising up the Pentecostal Apostolic Church of God.  The events surrounding the revolution in Romania have rightly been called a miracle of God.  However, an even greater miracle has been God's raising up and preservation of the evangelical churches of Romania. The focus of this thesis will be historical, examining records of the events in the foundation of the church, as well as political events in recent times. It includes a critical, historical analysis of supervision within the Pentecostal context.  The author concludes that ministry supervision is undergirded by three confessional elements which legitimate Pentecostal ministry.  The three confessional elements which serve as an interpretive framework for the educational design of Pentecostal supervision are 1) supervision as covenant; 2) supervision as character; and 3) supervision as commission. After examining various forms of church community life, the author turns to Acts to discover a model that appeals to people in the postmodern context without abandoning the church's Pentecostal essence. He then defines the essence of Pentecostalism so non-essential traditions can be adjusted to enhance evangelism in the setting. Chapter one gives an over view of the message of separation as taught at the inception of the PAON. Chapter two outlines the present message of separation. Chapter three examines why the message has changed. Chapter four examines benefits and/or problems that the change has brought to PAON churches. Social constructivist grounded theory was the method of study.
