The author used a survey and a review of the medical literature to identify the obstacles and facilitators of spiritual growth during internship. Then she designed a curriculum of twelve Bible lessons which were piloted by mentor-intern pairs. Many obstacles prevented mentors and interns from adequately piloting the curriculum, although those who did use the curriculum found it very helpful.
