The qualitative methodology included questionnaires at the initial and final sessions, as well as interviews.  The results of the survey demonstrated that the desired learning had occurred.  The participants gained knowledge of the methods essential to home ownership. The particular subjects under investigation are 24 affluent American University students who chose to participate in an 'alternative spring break' to Honduras, Nicaragua, Cuba, Chiapas Mexico, Zambia or Vietnam. Relying on interviews and observation, the author concluded that these short impressions provided the students with an occasion for reexamination of their own lives and an opportunity for experiencing transcendence. The project demonstrated that the poor are central to the church's concept of justice, and central to its mission.  Results obtained from seminarians' evaluations and the objective results of the Readiness for Ministry Profile indicated that the seminarians were likely to possess five of the six qualities deemed necessary for ministry for justice.
