The project also researched the writings of the major Princeton theologians: Alexander, the Hodges, and Warfield, noting the many references they made to the elements of power encounter.  The Princetonians wrote from a Reformed and exegetical perspective.  The author concludes that the Princetonians offer much needed biblical counsel regarding power encounter.  Miracles are not denied; but, miraculous gifts are refuted for the post-apostolic church upon biblical grounds.  Great care must be taken in verifying alleged miracles. It examined the biblical terms for power and correlated these with the organizational perspectives on power.  The project design used 'The Power Management Survey' to compare perceptions.  The pastor felt motivated primarily by affiliation and friendship.  The laity felt the pastor was motivated primarily by socialized power.  A democratic leadership style was present.
