As a result, their prayers are often anemic, unbalanced, unhealthy, and tend to be self-focused in nature. It is a premise of this thesis that there is a healthy way that Christians can pray. Healthy prayer is a balance between self-focused and God-focused prayers. This thesis demonstrates through its various constituent prayer projects that healthy prayer can be taught to Christians through a variety of structured prayer programs that included an accountability component as well as structured learning opportunities. Furthermore, this thesis confirms that growth towards a healthy prayer life is measurable.
