The knowledge the pastors have regarding the occurrence of dysfunctional families inside the churches, and about the ways how this situation affects them were researched. An evaluation to identify the dysfunctional level in the families from these churches was performed. The surveyed pastors accept the existence of dysfunctional families within the Christian church, recognizing that this affects its healthy development. It is concluded that the level of dysfunction found in the Christian families was not overwhelmingly serious, but it is significant due to pernicious behavioral patterns transmitted generationally. As a resource for an intentional, specialized approach to missionary preparation, a survey of relevant literature, a review of key socio-religious moments in the development of Pentecostalism in Russia, and an examination of theological concerns of the Orthodox context guides the reader toward a clearer understanding of Russian Pentecostals. The ethnographic interviews with seventy-two prominent South Asian church leaders and the qualitative, phenomenological analysis of it yielded significant findings.
