The design of this project was to employ an online survey that utilized a seven point Likert Agreement scale to determine the spiritual condition of the surveyed. The result of the discovery was that the Church of God clergy have an overall compliance factor of 6.03 in their general adherence to the Practical Commitments. A questionnaire format was designed to ascertain the projected levels of comfort the respondent would have concerning his/her own and his/her spouse's friendships.  Questions were also asked about perceptions of the spouse's comfort levels.  Four different types of friendship were surveyed to minimize the possibility of bias had the survey only covered cross-gender friendships. Three scales, verified in previous studies, also were used. Kendall's tau-b correlations were used on the data.  The results showed that a majority of respondents were comfortable with all the types of friendship studied. However, there was a clear reduction in comfort for cross-gender friendships and mixed-gender group friendships. Males tended to be less comfortable than females with same-gender and cross-gender friendships, with females reporting less comfort for couple and group friendships. He assumes that ministers are less assertive than the general population and that Wesleyan ministers are less assertive than non-Wesleyan ministers.  He tests 282 ministers in Michigan (who represent the Wesleyans, and 4 other denominations) by using the adult self-expression scale.  The study finds that ministers in general (except for Wesleyans) are significantly more assertive than the general population. Wesleyan ministers are significantly less assertive than non-Wesleyans.  Assertiveness is compared with passive and aggressive expressions. In a six hour seminar and four weekly meetings the staff was introduced to the theory of situational leadership developed by Paul Hersey and Kenneth Blanchard.  The author administered a pretest and posttest, to the staff and to a control group. Statistics from the tests indicated an increased leadership effectiveness in the experimental group and no change in the control group. A psychometric tool, the 'Anger Self Report', was adminstered to a population of Texas Panhandle Southern Baptist clergy.  Areas explored included awareness of anger, general expresison of anger, physical expression of anger, verbalization of guilt and anger, condemnation of anger, and mistrust. The vehicle for the evaluation was a case method study used in peer group settings.  Assessment of change was primarily via use of the Sixteen Personality Factor Questionnaire as per a pre-test evaluation of levels regarding self-esteem. Subject categories used were: 1) intelligence; 2) ego-strength; 3) self-acceptance; and 4) social image concern.  For a public the size of the test groups, a mean change of 75 percent was deemed necessary to be significant. This change was achieved in regard to three of the four evaluation factors, and was slightly under forty-five percent on the fourth. A group of sixteen mid-life men were administered the Tennessee Self-Concept Scale.  The group was then divided into test and control groups of eight men.  The test group met in a weekly counseling session with the author where basic relationship building skills were implemented for twelve weeks.  At the end of twelve weeks, the entire sample was again administered the Scale. To test the thesis, a standardized questionnaire was given to patients of the Presbyterian Hospital chemical dependency unit in Oklahoma City; the questionnaires were  given as the patients arrived and also to 100 former patients who had maintained at least one year of sobriety.  Of the eleven pre-treatment respondents, nine were stage 2 and two were stage 3.  Of the 60 with at least one year sobriety who responded, twenty-eight were at stage 3, fifteen were at stage 4, and fourteen were at stage 5.
