Drawing on historical studies of music's role in the church, survey questionnaires circulated to church members, and personal interviews with members and present and former staff persons who have been involved with the music ministry, the project present four training sessions. A worship planning committee was enlisted and trained to provide diverse worship services.  A questionnaire was developed to measure the congregational attitudes toward particular elements of worship. The conclusion included insights about present styles of worship prominent among Baptist churches. They were identified as the praise and worship, the liturgical, the traditional, the revivalist, and the seeker service.
