Suggestions are made for more effective cross-racial appointments. The method used in the survey of local congregations and the educational forums for the pastors and laity on the conference level. Even though the general experience of cross-racial appointments is positive, it is still being tolerated rather than being fully accepted. This project measured attitudinal and behavioral changes resulting from a ten-week interracial small group experience.
