Questionnaires werre used to solicit information helpful in constructing an educational instrument.  A preliminary teaching resource manual was produced based upon information from these questionnaires, wide reading in the areas of reconciliation, racism, and related topics, and other models of reconciliation education approaches in current use. This preliminary resource manual was subjected to a focus group of Nazarene leaders and others. The writer determined suitable tools for identifying mediators, then built understanding and awareness through teaching and preaching. The mediators then tested the process.  The writer wished to determine if characteristics and general qualifications for a mediator could be identified using various instruments.  The final procedure included an assessment of the writer in the way he deals with conflict.  Policy was established, mediators were identified and exit interviews were conducted.  The process also proved therapeutic, reducing identifiable conflict.
