That is the setting of this project.  Based on interiviews, photographs, and case studies with Knox Presbyterian Church's attempts at practicing hospitality with its neighborhood, this project demonstrates the 'proslambano' in Romans 14-15: that welcoming the strangers of the neighborhood, and the church inviting themselves into the homes of their neighbors as servants, liberates both to experience God's reconciling love. In order to discover the prominent features of our model, this project begins with a careful analysis of the diversities inherent in the early church from its origins.
