Employing anthropological and biblical perspectives, this project analyzes four religious beliefs and practices that prevent acceptance of Christianity among Ashantis, finding that a major problem is the traditional Ashanti concept of God as remote, unapproachable, and unavailable in times of crisis. The project analyzes Swazi traditional history and religious beliefs, methods employed by SDAs and other churches in evangelizing the Swazi, and questionnaires circulated in Swaziland.
