Twenty participants were evaluated by pre-tests, post-tests, follow-up tests, and my personal interviews. Using attachment theory, grief studies, and family theory, the project views divorce, single parenthood, and remarriage as a process of mourning and recovery.  Divorce both necessitates and interferes with the usual mourning process.  Unfinished mourning alters expectations about remarriage and potentially hinders the formation of stepfamilies.  Interviews with remarried couples and case material from the author's counseling experience illustrate the theory. The author interviewed 50 adult Africans to ascertain needs that may be met by an adult Christian education program in the church. The information was used to outline a curriculum for ministry to and with adults.  A unit on family life and ministry to single parent families was tested in a church setting.  Interviews and observations of the participants in the ministry evidenced emotional healing, acceptance of the reality of the disruption of their family life, and adjustment to single parenting. The context for this project is the Yang Jae Baptist Church located in the midst of Seoul's entertainment center, the Yang Jae District known as the 'Korean Rodeo Drive.'  One of the burning issues in the youth ministry of the church is the environmental impact of the area upon the youth, especially single parent teens, who are particularly susceptible to temptations such as drugs, alcohol, illicit sex and violent behavior.  The goals of the project are to equip single parent teens with guidance and motivation to increase their self-esteem, to urge church leaders and parents to become more aware of their needs, to promote aggressive evangelistic efforts, and to construct a model in youth ministry successfully integrating single parents teens with all
